Your style is how you express yourself to the world. It’s the total combination of the way you dress, talk, move your body or do anything. A good outfit can change everything. No matter if you are a 9-5er, a business owner, a mom, or have a side hustle, knowing how to dress for who you are becoming is essential to not only building a great wardrobe but feeling confident in where you are headed.
Let’s dive into an introduction into personal brand styling and some tips for how you can get started!
First things first, how you you decide to show up, is how you are presenting yourself to the world, which in turn translates into how you feel.

Take for example, getting ready for a date night or evening out. You probably made the conscious choice to put on an outfit that was likely a little bit more polished. Am I right? When you intentionally chose to show up putting your best foot forward, I would venture to guess you remember feeling pretty darn good.
Personal brand styling not only helps you look your best but most importantly it helps you feel your best. When you feel good, you have the confidence to go out there, work towards your dreams, take risks and simply conquer the day ahead.
You still might be wondering how you can apply this to your life right now. So, I’m going to share three questions you need to be asking yourself the next time you are shopping online or in-store that will help you ensure what you are purchasing fits into “who you are becoming.”
SHOP THE POST
It is so easy to fall into the trap of purchasing something that ends up collecting dust in your closet. I think we are all guilty of this at times, maybe more often then we would like to admit. And then you ask yourself later, “why did I even buy this?!!”
You can avoid that scenario all together by answering these three questions before you make a purchase.
3 Questions To Ask Yourself Before You Buy
- Does the item reflect where I am today in conjunction with where I’m going?
- Will I still like this item 2-3 years from now?
- Can I wear this item with other pieces in my closet?
If you answered yes to all three of these questions, you are on the right track! Being more intentional with the pieces you are adding to your closet is key.
