Hi friends! Can you even believe Christmas is just a few days away?! Because the holidays are around the corner, I recently purchased a bunch of my favorite tried and true makeup products. When it comes to makeup, certain products earn a permanent spot in my beauty routine because they consistently deliver flawless results. With that, I wanted to share five makeup favorites that have never failed me!

Hydrating Primer

As I’ve gotten older, using a primer has become a central part of my makeup routine. It helps to fill in fine lines and pores so your foundation or tinted moisturizer goes on more flawlessly.

I have purchased this primer from the brand Laura Mercier probably at least eight times now! My skin has become more dry over the years and this adds just the right amount of moisture without leaving my skin feeling oily or weighed down. It is a very hydrating and lightweight formula which I love!

A Buildable Mascara

Nothing pulls a look together like a great mascara. A buildable formula that lengthens and adds volume, like this one from Lancome is my all time favorite. I have tried A LOT of mascaras over the years and this one has been a repeat purchase year after year.

It is volumizing, buildable and long-wearing which are the main things I look for in a good mascara. Love this one.

A Universal Nude Lipliner

Every makeup bag needs a go-to nude liner. A classic like this one in the color “nude” from Bobby Brown is incredibly flattering. It is not too orange, brown or pink – the color is just right. I have purchased this exact shade probably over a dozen times and it never disappoints. It’s the perfect everday lip liner color!

A Versatile Eyeshadow Palette

A neutral eye shadaow palette like this one from Charlotte Tilbury or this one from Tom Ford or this one from MAC are great options. With a range of matte and shimmer shades, you can create anything for subtle daytime looks to something more bold. I always look for a palette that has mainly neutral matte shades with one or two shimmer shades. Keeping it simple is key!

A Reliable Bronzer

Bronzer is perfect for adding warmth to your skin, especially during colder months when your complexion can look dull or pale. It creates extra dimension to your skin that enhances your features and it’s one of my all time makeup favorites for sure! I believe everyone should be wearing some type of bronzer as part of their makeup routine.

The go-to bronzer I have purchased over and over is this one from NARS in shade 02-Original. It is by far the best powder bronzer. My favorite thing about this bronzer is that it’s not 100% matte. It has a very slight amount of “fleck” to it which gives you just a hint of extra glow.

While cream bronzers are “all the rage” as of late, I find powder bronzer to be more natural and easy to use. I use my NARS bronzer with this brush and love the results.
