Hi friends! Glad you are here today. We are headed to Florida next week and as I’m writing this, I’m in the midst of major packing! So, I thought I would share what I’m bringing in case you are planning a warm weather vacation as well. I did a little shopping but also have items I always pack that are must have travel essentials. Whether you are looking for something new, practical or something fun – I’ve got you covered. Let’s get into the list!
1. Indi Backpack by Dagne Dover
I would argue a good quality backpack is probably my number one travel essential! The Indi Backpack by Dagne Dover is by far my favorite item on this list! Our son Cameron is now 5 years old, and I was ready to upgrade our old diaper bag. Funny enough, this backpack is actually a diaper bag/backpack but it is SO much more, let me explain. If you are a soon to be mom, and looking for something new, cool and majorly practical – this is your bag. If you already have kids or you don’t and you looking for a really good travel backpack, this is it.
Why I love this bag:
- Tons of interior pouches and pockets (one is magnetic)
- Beautiful and soft premium neoprene material – so comfortable on your shoulders for all day wear
- Fits your laptop or iPad
- No fuss zipper at the top of the bag is VERY practical – easy in, easy out
- Very cool removeable insulated water bottle holder – it clips into the interior with ease (I have never seen anything like this on the inside of a backpack)
- Practical extra zipper pocket at the bottom of the bag made for baby wipes OR can be used as extra storage if you don’t have a little one
- Comes with stroller clips (if needed)
- Water-resistant washable zipper bag – included, great for storing wet clothes
- Two key leashes
- My favorite – the luggage sleeve! This fits right over your suitcase handle so you can travel through the airport with ease. (Note: I believe the small size, does not come with the luggage sleeve)
- The backpack comes in three sizes (S, M, L) so you can choose the one that works best for you. I purchased the medium and love the size, not too big and not too small.
2. Hunter Toiletry/Makeup Bag by Dagne Dover
As you can see, I did some shopping and I’m loving Dagne Dover! With all of our up-coming travel, I realized my toiletry bags were not cutting it any longer. So, I also purchased the Hunter Toiletry Bag in both the small and large size. Ladies – the large size is actually great for your makeup! It comes with two detachable mesh pouches. One is long and skinny, perfect for your makeup brushes and the other one is a small square design, great for your lipsticks and smaller makeup items. Dagne Dover also makes great organizers, so check out the full list here. Many of them will be back in stock soon. I have my eye on the Mila Toiletry Organizer. I love the shape and functionality of the individual slots for protecting your toiletry containers.

3. Wide Mouth Hydroflask – 24 oz with Straw Lid
I’m a huge fan of Hydroflask! I’m embarrassed to admit how many we have at our house. These are a worth-it investment because they last and keep your water cold. I recently purchased the 24 oz Wide Mouth size to fit into my Dagne Dover Indi Backpack. It fits perfectly in the interior insulated water bottle holder which I love.

4. Women’s Kinetic Rush ECO Sneaker by Sorel
With travel comes walking and whether you are navigating the airport or exploring the area, this is another warm weather travel essential. If you have been following along here, you will know that Sorel is one of my top favorite shoe brands. I love their winter boots, but as of late, I have been equally impressed with their sneaker collection. I was looking for a fresh pair of new kicks in a neutral white color and these Kinetic Rush Sneakers checked all the boxes! What I like most about these is the lightweight breathable design, perfect for hot weather where there will be lots of walking.

5. Maui Jim Maverick Sunglasses
Keeping your eyes protected is a must while on vacation! The pair of sunglasses I ALWAYS reach for first is my Maui Jim Maverick sunglasses. They are by far my most worn pair. These are great because they are polarized and are extremely light weight. I never get a headache wearing them all day and they have really become my all time favorite. I have a full blog post here, that includes the sunglasses I reach for daily when it comes to fitness, fashion and function.
6. Havaianas Slim Flip Flop
Who hasn’t heard of Havanianas, right?! If you haven’t – mark this one! I have worn these slim flops for as long as I can remember. They are my favorite beach flip flop because they are comfortable, hold their shape and last. The rose gold color matches everything so it’s a no brainer when I’m packing my suitcase.

7. Supergoop! Unseen Face Sunscreen
Protecting your skin is another important thing to consider for everyday but also when traveling. I have tried A LOT of facial sunscreens over the years and this one ranks at the very top of my list. Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen is just awesome. It literally feels weightless on the skin, is water and sweat resistant and offers SPF 40 protection. It is a great makeup primer as well and I appreciate it is unscented.
8. Swimsuit Cover-up from Red Dress
I recently found a really cute white swimsuit cover-up from Red Dress. The one I purchased is out of stock BUT I still wanted to pass along their cover-ups because they have a nice selection of trendy but classic styles as well. Some of their resort dresses can also be doubled as a cover-up too!

9. Iconic One Piece Sidestroke Swimsuit by Summersalt
A good quality swimsuit is another key warm weather travel essential to look and feel your best! One of my go-to brands for swimwear is Summersalt. They strike the right balance of function and style. Their Iconic Sidestroke is my all time favorite. It fits great, holds everything in and is ultra comfortable. Feeling confident at the beach is important and this best-selling swimsuit delivers!

10. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer
The last item on my list is tinted moisturizer. It is another really important one I can’t live without on vacation especially with all the time I spend outside. NARS makes a great foundation and I really like this one because it has light to medium coverage with SPF 30. I use it during the day as well as when I get ready to go out at night. I also like it because it is not matte and has more of a dewy finish which I prefer since I have normal to dry skin.
There you have it! These are my warm weather travel essentials. I hope you find something you love for your next vacation. Let me know in the comments which one is your favorite!
